Job Description

At Biossance®, we are the leaders in the science of clean beauty. Born from a desire to make the world a better place, we use innovative biotechnology to create skincare that is incredibly effective and sustainable without harming the environment or animals. Our mission is to lead the industry toward a planet-friendly future through high-performance ingredients like our 100% plant-based squalane. We’re looking for a motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our team. You’ll play a hands-on role in translating complex datasets into actionable insights, helping us grow our e-commerce and retail presence while staying true to our science-first roots. This is a paid internship, with compensation ranging from $22 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and availability.

What You’ll Do

  • Dive into large datasets to identify trends in customer behavior, product performance, and e-commerce health.
  • Help build and maintain automated dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for our marketing and operations teams.
  • Assist in analyzing inventory levels and supply chain data to ensure our sustainable products reach our community efficiently.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives by analyzing website traffic and conversion data to enhance the Biossance digital experience.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly insight reports that provide clear, data-driven recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Assist in cleaning and validating data across various platforms

Requirements

Requirements

  • A student or recent graduate in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas/pivots) and foundational knowledge of SQL and Python or R for data manipulation.
  • Strong ability to turn raw numbers into a compelling story that supports business decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; you can explain complex data findings to non-technical team members.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on biotechnology and consumer goods.
  • A genuine interest in sustainability, clean beauty, and using science to create a positive global impact.
