Job Description
We've partnered with a world class organization with an immediate need for a Senior Cost Accountant. This highly visible role will be a cross functional business partner ensuring accuracte, timely accounting and analysis including product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis across global manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will translate complex manufacturing data into actionable insights to drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve the company’s bottom line.
salary: $115,000 - $125,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Lead the annual standard cost roll process, including the development of labor and overhead rates
- Maintain accurate BOM's and routings
- Review and approve new product cost estimates and perform "what-if" analysis
- Perform monthly analysis of manufacturing variances, including PPV, Labor Efficiency, and Overhead Spending.
- Identify root causes of variances and track the progress of continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare monthly KPI dashboards for executive leadership, focusing on Gross Margin performance and Production Volume
- Oversee the month-end inventory reconciliation process, including Raw Materials, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods.
- Coordinate and audit annual physical inventory counts and periodic cycle counting programs.
- Manage the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory reserves process, providing recommendations for disposals or write-offs.
- Ensure GAAP/IFRS and SOX compliance regarding inventory and COGS
- Support internal and external auditors by providing detailed schedules and explaining costing methodologies.
- Assist in the consolidation of global site results, accounting for intercompany transfers and foreign currency impacts on inventory valuation.
