Position Overview

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Division of Nursing is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach a variety of courses in the RN-BSN Distance Learning Option for the Summer 2026. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and providing theoretical and/or clinical instruction and experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the nursing program and profession
  • Facilitating student achievement of course objectives/outcomes through varied teaching methods.
  • Evaluating student achievement of course objectives/outcomes.
  • Utilizing feedback from student/faculty evaluations for instructional improvement
  • Serving as a role model for students in the professional, social, and civic areas
  • Utilization of evidence-based research in teaching and the practice of nursing

  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • A minimum of two years’ full-time employment or equivalent in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse verified with the Board of Nursing
  • Current unrestricted RN License to practice in the State of North Carolina
