Job Description:
As a Lead Access Control Technician , you will be responsible for leading installation teams, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and providing technical expertise for access control, security, and surveillance system projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the installation, programming, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and security systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on access control hardware, wiring, and software.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
  • Supervise and train junior technicians to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide on-site customer support and training on system operations.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in access control, security systems, or low-voltage installation.
  • Strong knowledge of access control systems such as Avigilon, Verkada, Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Honeywell, or similar.
  • Experience with cabling, wiring, and troubleshooting electronic security devices.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Low Voltage or Security System certifications (such as NICET, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
