Job Description

Junior Paralegal – Tax Law
Opportunity with a Client of New Gig Solutions

We’re partnering with a well-respected tax law firm that’s looking to bring on a Junior Paralegal—someone early in their career who’s eager to learn, take on real responsibility, and grow within a strong legal team.

This is not a “sit back and observe” role. From day one, you’ll be involved in active cases, working alongside experienced attorneys and senior paralegals, gaining hands-on exposure to both the legal and financial sides of the practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support attorneys and senior paralegals in keeping cases organized and moving forward
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and documentation, ensuring a smooth and professional experience
  • Track case updates, deadlines, and key details within the firm’s systems
  • Organize and maintain client files so everything is accurate, complete, and easy to access
  • Assist in preparing case materials and summaries for attorney review
  • Help collect and organize financial information such as income, assets, and liabilities
  • Handle general administrative and case support tasks that keep the team operating efficiently

What They’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Up to 2 years of experience in an office environment (legal, financial, or similar preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Acrobat
  • A genuine interest in learning legal processes and financial concepts

Nice to Have

  • Paralegal certificate (completed or in progress)
  • Exposure to legal or financial documentation (tax returns, bank statements, etc.)
  • Experience in a law firm or case management system

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Hands-on training and mentorship from an experienced legal team
  • Real responsibility early on—not just administrative work
  • Exposure to both legal and financial aspects of cases
  • Clear opportunity for growth into more senior roles over time
  • Stable, well-regarded firm with strong internal processes

What Success Looks Like

  • Staying organized and keeping cases moving on schedule
  • Delivering a positive, responsive experience for clients
  • Maintaining clean, accurate documentation across all matters
  • Progressing quickly in both legal knowledge and responsibility
