Job Requirement: FinOps Data Engineer
Location: LATAM (100% Remote)
Timezone Requirement: Mandatory CST (Central Standard Time) overlap
Role Summary
looking for a highly analytical FinOps Data Engineer to bridge the gap between high-scale data engineering and cloud financial governance. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that transform raw billing and usage data into actionable financial insights. You will be the architect behind our "Single Source of Truth" for multi-cloud spend (AWS/GCP), ensuring cost transparency and driving financial accountability across the organization.
2. Key Responsibilities
Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest cloud cost and usage data from various sources (AWS CUR, GCP Exports, REST APIs).
Data Modeling: Build and optimize schemas in Snow fl ake and AWS Athena to support complex FinOps reporting, forecasting, and unit economics.
Orchestration & Transformation: Implement and manage workflow orchestration using dbt , Air fl ow , or Dagster .
Automation & IaC: Deploy and manage data infrastructure using Terraform and maintain robust CI/CD practices.
Cost Observability: Monitor cloud environments using Datadog to detect spend anomalies and provide proactive alerts.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver dashboards that drive cost-saving initiatives.
