Job Description

Windwave is seeking a Fiber Splicer to support fiber network construction and deployment projects. This role is responsible for performing high-quality fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure network performance and reliability.

This is a field-based position working closely with construction and operations teams on active projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform fiber optic splicing (single fiber and ribbon).
  • Conduct testing using OTDR, power meters, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret splice diagrams, prints, and network designs.
  • Troubleshoot fiber issues and resolve signal loss or connectivity problems.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate splice documentation and test results.
  • Install, prep, and organize fiber in closures, cabinets, and panels.
  • Maintain a safe and organized job site.
  • Coordinate with crews and supervisors to meet project timelines.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of fiber splicing experience.
  • Experience with OTDR testing and fiber troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret fiber prints and splice diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.

*Willing to train the right individual.

Work Environment:

Field-based role working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Travel may be required depending on project needs. Overtime available based on project schedules.
