Pay: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time hybrid position based in Clifton, New Jersey, with a convenient office location near major highways and flexibility for qualified candidates who can reliably commute to the office.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed in New Jersey and have 2+ years of estate planning experience, including drafting estate planning documents and conducting client consultations. New York admission and WealthCounsel experience are strong pluses.

Job Description

  • Lead client consultations and advise individuals and families on customized estate planning strategies.
  • Draft, review, and oversee estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related planning tools.
  • Manage the client experience from initial consultation through drafting, signing, and follow-up.
  • Help strengthen and systemize the estate planning practice through improved workflows, SOPs, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, support staff, and leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality legal work.
  • Partner with the firm's marketing and leadership teams to support practice growth, client education, and seminar-based business development.
  • Mentor and support junior attorneys and staff as the estate planning department continues to expand.
  • Stay current on estate planning, tax, elder law, and asset protection developments to provide thoughtful legal guidance.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active New Jersey Bar admission required.
  • 2+ years of focused estate planning experience.
  • Strong drafting experience with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents.
  • Experience conducting client consultations and explaining complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Strong communication, organization, and client service skills.
  • New York Bar admission is a plus.
  • WealthCounsel experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to commute to the Clifton, NJ office as needed for a hybrid schedule.
