Job Description

Salary: $70,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience supporting Epic applications, including configuration, builds, or template management.
  • Proficient in operational analysis, application support, and providing training or advisory services to end users.
  • Preferred: 5 years of Epic application support experience with moderately complex builds.
  • Preferred: Direct experience in relevant operational domains (e.g., revenue cycle, ambulatory, inpatient, scheduling, billing).
  • Preferred: Experience as a super user of an EHR system (Epic preferred).
  • Required: Epic certification in OpTime or Anesthesia module.
  • Preferred: Certification in ancillary or non-core Epic applications.
  • Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • Preferred: Relevant non-Epic specialty certifications, as applicable.
Responsibilities:
  • Function as a key team member with developing expertise in assigned operations and Epic applications, understanding their interactions with other Epic products.
  • Begin to focus on a specific area within a vast process.
  • Utilize knowledge of operations, Epic systems, and historical configurations to address moderately complex issues that might affect downstream systems.
  • Analyze user requirements to clarify business needs concerning workflows, data, and system functionalities.
  • Engage in operational and technical assessments to inform solution design.
  • Collaborate in troubleshooting via ticket analysis to identify enhancement opportunities or system modifications.
  • Independently execute moderately complex Epic configurations, adhering to departmental standards, while modifying rules and templates as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions that affect the application, vendors, end users, and technical teams.
  • Investigate and assess Epic and vendor functionalities related to assigned applications.
  • Take part in Epic upgrades, reviewing release notes, planning necessary builds and tests, and supporting go-live preparations.
  • Conduct routine system maintenance, including monitoring interfaces and applying standard industry updates.
  • Effectively communicate with super users and operational leaders regarding applications and workflows, simplifying complex issues and offering solution suggestions.
  • Gather and integrate feedback from super users and managers for system performance improvements and user experience enhancements.
  • Potentially deliver targeted training sessions or knowledge-sharing initiatives to end-user groups.
  • Mentor less experienced team members in build, testing, and basic troubleshooting tasks.
  • Engage in professional development activities, internal forums, and initiatives for knowledge sharing, including attending or presenting at external Epic-related events.
